"Reclaiming the Voids"
Interesting scheme!
The concept of "discovering the urban voids" and giving a "voice" (meaningful purpose) to them is a commendable task
The rationale for the site selections (the voids) by studying the rest of the city in a very comprehensive manner is good.
However, the basis for selection of the building typologies that the particular city needs is not very clear. Aren't there any other options that can be explored as building typologies that the people of the city needs? for example if you took the concept of "Live, Work Play" to identify the typologies it could have been more clearer.
The solution of a "Green Lung" for recreation, in a highly built up area is very appropriate. The approach for the landscape is good. However the intervention with the proposed built forms seems a bit out of scale when compared to the rest of the neighbourhood. The placement of the buildings along the periphery somehow appears to act as visual barrier standing like a "continuous boundary wall" due to the non humane scale.
The idea of the "bridge" connecting the other side of the city and the way the old rubber factory being retrofitted is good and complements the scheme.
Good luck
