This project is a vibrant and intellectually rich exploration of architecture as an immersive, multisensory experience. The design pushes boundaries through its bold conceptual grounding in the philosophy of touch—drawing on Juhani Pallasmaa’s theory to craft a space that is deeply experiential, emotionally resonant, and spatially dynamic. The scaffolding-like skeletal structure, layered with undulating floors and artistic artifacts, transforms the building into a vertical journey through art history, pop culture, and material tactility.
The inclusion of iconic sculptural references from ancient Greek caryatids to Jeff Koons’ Balloon Dogs and Mickey Mouse figurines skillfully blends past and present, high art and popular imagery. This eclecticism is not superficial, it is harmonized through a consistent architectural language that is whimsical, tactile and conceptually provocative. The use of the Baubotanik technique as a living membrane further elevates the proposal into the realm of bio-integrated architecture, envisioning a future where built form and nature symbiotically evolve.
For further refinement, the project could benefit from clearer articulation of spatial programming and functional use. While the visual language and symbolism are exceptionally strong, it would be helpful to ground some of these poetic gestures in everyday user scenarios clarifying how circulation, accessibility and environmental performance are achieved at a practical level.
Nonetheless, this is a stunningly imaginative and conceptually layered proposal. It successfully transcends traditional architectural typologies, inviting users to engage with space through memory, movement and emotion. A bold and unforgettable entry, bravo!
