"Alhaceeb City" project presents a thoughtful and socially driven urban strategy that reinterprets traditional architectural language within a sustainable, affordable housing framework. The sensitive site selection and zoning into D4, D5, and D6 areas, following heritage preservation guidelines, ensure that the development supports both urban expansion and historical conservation in Zabid. The emphasis on integrating environmental, economic, and social sustainability pillars strengthens the project’s long-term resilience. The visual connection to vernacular styles through modern techniques demonstrates a respectful yet forward-looking design approach. Further detailing on public space articulation and integration of sustainable infrastructure systems would enhance urban livability. Overall, this project offers a commendable model for balancing heritage preservation with contemporary urban needs in a culturally rich context.
