This project proposes an inventive parasitic housing typology that revitalizes residual urban infrastructure—in this case, the underside of the Lanfranconi Bridge—through modular infill using recycled shipping containers. The solution cleverly embraces constraints, transforming an inhospitable void into a vibrant hybrid of living, working, and public space. The detailing of the steel subframe and modular logic shows technical maturity, while the urban connectivity is handled with nuance. One minor suggestion is to further explore the thermal performance and acoustics of the container units in such an exposed setting. Nonetheless, it is a compelling vision for adaptive reuse and densification.
