First, integrating smart urban technologies, such as sensor-based lighting, real-time transit displays, and interactive digital kiosks, can significantly enhance efficiency, sustainability, and user experience throughout the development. Second, expanding climate resilience strategies is essential, especially given the proximity to the Trinity River; this could include implementing green roofs, bioswales, and retention systems to manage stormwater and reduce flood risk.
Prioritizing social equity is crucial to avoid gentrification; this can be achieved by incorporating affordable housing options within the mixed-use buildings to ensure the area remains accessible to diverse socioeconomic groups.
