Your project is grounded in strong values and a meaningful social mission. You’ve clearly understood the role architecture can play in post-war healing and community resilience. That said, there’s real potential to push your design further, especially in terms of innovation and integration with the urban context.
Currently, the building feels somewhat static, with many materials—brick, glass, steel, wood—competing rather than complementing one another. Try to refine the material palette to create a more cohesive architectural identity.
Also, consider how the building could communicate with its environment. For example, interactive façades could display data on energy production, CO₂ absorption, or biodiversity benefits—making the building not just sustainable, but also didactic and alive. Open-air uses, such as a rooftop or courtyard cinema, could foster deeper public engagement.
Since you describe the building as “more than just a structure,” think about how that concept could extend beyond the 600 m² site. Could it catalyze a wider urban transformation? For instance, introducing pedestrian or cycling routes that connect the center with key city landmarks could amplify its reach and relevance.
Your project has a strong foundation. Now it’s about amplifying its impact, both spatially and conceptually. Keep going—this is a great starting point for something truly transformative.
For inspiration on this kind of technology-driven and participatory design, I recommend studying the work of Carlo Ratti, especially how his projects blur the lines between architecture, data, and social interaction.
